
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) informs all taxpayers that in a bid to improve efficiency by reducing turnaround time, the following categories of exemptions will no longer require any form of pre-approval by office of the Commissioner Customs effective Monday, June 02nd, 2025.
For the listed category of goods, the importers and/or Licensed Customs Agents are requested to directly make declarations in ASYCUDA Customs clearance system with supportive documentation to justify the request and have the Document Processing Centre (DPC) validate and process the declarations in accordance with the East African Community Customs Management Act (EACCMA).
The specific items and applicable Additional Procedure Codes (APCs) for clearance are as below;
