Mandate: Customs department is responsible for the management, collection and administration of international trade taxes. Other functions include: Collection and compilation of international trade statistics Protection of society (arms, ammunitions, toxic products Protection of our industry (prevention of smuggling) Protection of flora & fauna (animals & plants) Collects Taxes and fees on behalf of D Under the stewardship of the Commissioner Customs, the department has six divisions five of which are headed by Assistant commissioners. The divisions include Commissioners Office, Enforcement, Audit, Compliance and Business Analysis, Trade and Field Services.
