TREP is the Taxpayer Register Expansion Program initiated by the Government of Uganda to simplify business formalization, broaden the country’s taxpayer base and increase tax compliance.

The program aimed to register more eligible taxpayers and bring them into the formal tax system, thereby enhancing revenue collection for the government.
