ADDENDUM TO THE PUBLIC NOTICE ISSUED ON 23^RD DECEMBER 2025

ROLL OUT OF THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY BOND (EAC BOND)

In accordance with Section 107 of the East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, and following the decision of the EAC 47^th Sectoral Council on Trade, Industry, Finance and Investment (SCTIFI) (EAC/SCTIFI/47/Directive/11), effective January 2026, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) successfully rolled out the EAC Bond.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition, URA will continue to accept and facilitate the execution of the COMESA RCTG Bond until determined otherwise.
