HOW TO REGISTER FOR EFRIS

1. Access the e-invoicing link on the web portal https://www.ura.go.ug and then log into your TIN account.
2. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your registered email or phone as preferred;
3. Select “First time registration” and specify whether to use e-invoicing, the Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) or both, include the additional places of business (if any), and submit the application for approval;
4. Once your application is approved by URA, you will proceed to register or configure your products or services in order to issue the e-invoices or e-receipts.

EFRIS PLATFORMS AVAILABLE FOR CHOICE;

Every taxpayer is advised to choose the most suitable EFRIS platform from the options below:

1. System Integration: This option is suitable for clients with existing sales/invoicing/billing systems. The taxpayer shall continue to use their system to issue e-receipts/e-invoices.
2. The URA web portal: This option is suitable for taxpayers without billing systems and with less volume of transactions. The taxpayer shall issue e-invoices /e-receipts from his/her account on the URA web portal.
3. The Desktop (Client) Application: This option is suitable for taxpayers without billing systems. It also has an offline feature for use during internet connectivity intermittence. The taxpayer can download and install the application on his /her computer for issuance of e-receipts/e-invoices.
4. The Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFDs): This option is suitable for taxpayers with relatively few transactions and majorly operating field/route/mobile sales. The EFD used by a taxpayer should be accredited by URA.
5. URA Mobile Application: This option is suitable for small taxpayers with small volumes of transactions. The Application is available for download from the IOS or Game Store.
